Aalto PS 2019 Magnum

Aalto PS 2019 Magnum is the more powerful, more concentrated expression of Aalto, crafted from exceptional old-vine Tempranillo sourced from select parcels in La Horra and La Aguilera. Rich, dense, and intensely layered, it combines ripe fruit, serious structure, and refined oak influence in a way that gives this wine both immediate impact and impressive cellaring potential.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows an almost ink-black color that hints at its depth and concentration. The nose is fresh yet intense, with aromas of blueberries, blackberries, and dark plums lifted by clear oak notes and a touch of chocolate. On the palate, the wine is opulent and expansive, unfolding with layers of blackberry, plum liqueur, licorice, vanilla, spice, coffee beans, and tobacco. Despite its richness and power, it remains structured, nuanced, and complex, with the concentration and balance to develop beautifully over time. While already compelling, it is still very much in its youth and should gain further finesse with age.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit comes from carefully selected parcels in La Horra and La Aguilera in Castilla y León, where 60- to 90-year-old vines provide naturally low yields and deep concentration. Grapes are harvested entirely by hand and carefully sorted before vinification, then the wine is matured for 19 months in new French oak barrels to build structure, complexity, and polish.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine for richly flavored dishes, especially dry-aged beef, roast lamb, or other premium red meats with deep, savory character. Serve at around 16–18°C, and if opening now, decanting is strongly recommended to let the wine begin to open and reveal its full aromatic and textural range.
