In the glass, this Barolo is typically deep ruby in youth, gradually taking on garnet tones as it evolves. The nose is layered and aromatic, with notes of red cherry, rose petal, dried herbs, spice, leather, and earthy minerality, all framed by the lifted perfume that defines fine Nebbiolo. On the palate, it is structured and focused, with firm but refined tannins, bright acidity, and a long, resonant finish. Expect a combination of dark berry fruit, licorice, tobacco, and savory complexity that will continue to develop beautifully over time. The Cerretta Vigna Bricco vineyard is located in Serralunga d'Alba, a commune known for producing Barolos of notable structure, depth, and longevity. The vines have an average age of around 15 years and are cultivated with minimal human intervention, following a natural approach that allows the character of the site to come through clearly. The wine is made from pure Nebbiolo grapes, emphasizing terroir expression and traditional Barolo character.
