Arnot-Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch 2019 is a beautifully distinctive expression of California Cabernet, drawn from one of the Santa Cruz Mountains’ most intriguing vineyard sites. With its old-vine pedigree, low yields, and restrained use of new French oak, it offers a more refined, terroir-driven take on the variety than many buyers might expect. Fellom Ranch itself has a long history, dating back to 1929, adding an extra layer of character and authenticity to this release.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Cabernet shows a deep, dark hue that hints at its concentration and structure. The nose opens with ripe black fruit, anise, cedar, mocha, and a subtle touch of tar, creating a layered and savory aromatic profile. On the palate, dark fruit leads the way, supported by cedar, spice, and earthy undertones, all woven together by silky, velvety tannins. The wine feels both powerful and polished, with the balance and concentration to develop beautifully over several years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
Fellom Ranch Vineyard sits on a ridge high in the Santa Cruz Mountains, overlooking Silicon Valley, where the exposed, rugged conditions naturally keep yields low and grape quality high. Originally planted in 1929 and replanted to Cabernet Sauvignon in 1980 with material from Charles Winery in Napa Valley, the vineyard benefits from its demanding site and mature vines. The fruit is fully destemmed, and the wine is aged for 22 months with only 20% new French oak to preserve freshness, structure, and site character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon pairs wonderfully with grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, roast duck, or dishes featuring mushrooms and black pepper. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for one to two hours to allow the wine’s aromas and texture to fully open up.
