Arnot-Roberts Zinfandel Kirschenmann Vineyard 2022 is a beautifully refined take on one of California’s most historic grape varieties. Sourced from 100-year-old vines in the legendary Kirschenmann Vineyard in Lodi, it showcases Zinfandel with remarkable freshness, precision, and a true sense of place.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine is bright and vibrant, with a lifted ruby hue that hints at its energetic style. The nose opens with juicy red cherry, strawberry, and red citrus, followed by spice, a subtle floral perfume, and a faint earthy undertone. On the palate, it is supple and lively, combining silken texture with brisk acidity and a fine mineral edge. The fruit is pure and articulate, with elegant depth rather than weight, and the finish is long, savory, and balanced. While already expressive, this is a Zinfandel with enough structure and freshness to develop gracefully over the next several years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from the historic Kirschenmann Vineyard in Lodi, planted in 1915 on sandy, granite-rich soils near the Mokelumne River. These old, dry-farmed vines grow in a terroir that naturally favors finesse over power, helping produce wines of clarity and nuance. Arnot-Roberts handles the fruit with a restrained approach, using whole-cluster fermentation with native yeast and aging the wine in neutral barrels to preserve the vineyard’s character and fruit purity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a versatile red for roasted poultry, grilled sausages, mushroom dishes, charcuterie, or a simple roast pork loin with herbs. It also works well with tomato-based pasta and Mediterranean dishes that have a little savory depth. Serve slightly cool, around 15–17°C, and decant only briefly if desired, as its charm lies in its freshness and aromatic lift.
