Made from 35% Chardonnay and 65% Pinot Noir, with fermentation in small oak barrels and extended bottle ageing under cork, it delivers remarkable depth, power, and finesse in one beautifully balanced Champagne.

In the glass, La Grande Année 2012 shows a refined, luminous golden hue with a fine and persistent mousse. The nose is expressive and layered, unfolding with white flowers, citrus zest, ripe orchard fruit, subtle spice, and a delicate toasted complexity from the oak aging. On the palate, the wine is deep, structured, and impressively concentrated, with Bollinger’s signature Pinot Noir richness giving it both breadth and drive. Beneath the creamy texture lies a precise mineral core, finishing with chalky freshness, a saline edge, and a very long aftertaste. This is a Champagne with excellent aging potential, and it will continue to gain complexity over many years in bottle.

Viininvalmistus
La Grande Année is produced only in outstanding vintages, with grapes sourced exclusively from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Bollinger relies on traditional hand harvesting and vinification in small oak barrels, using barrels that average around 20 years of age, which adds subtle texture without overpowering the fruit. The wine is then aged on cork, rather than a crown cap, contributing to its depth and distinctive evolution.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, truffle risotto, roast chicken, veal, or aged Parmesan. It is best served chilled at around 8–10°C, and while decanting is not usually necessary, a short time in the glass will help reveal its full aromatic complexity. The wine is presented in an exclusive wooden case, making it especially suitable for gifting or collecting.
