In the glass, this Blanc de Noirs shows a deep golden hue with a fine, persistent mousse that hints at its power and maturity. The nose is intensely expressive, with layers of ripe orchard fruit, baked citrus, dried flowers, brioche, hazelnut, and subtle savory complexity. On the palate, it is rich, muscular, and beautifully structured, with striking concentration balanced by Champagne’s trademark freshness. Viininvalmistus
Vieilles Vignes Françaises comes from three microscopic Grand Cru parcels in Champagne, totaling just 0.5 hectares, planted with ungrafted Pinot Noir vines that survived the phylloxera crisis of the late 19th century. These exceptionally old vines produce very low yields, resulting in tiny annual production and fruit of remarkable intensity. The wine is vinified with great care to preserve the character of the old-vine fruit and the singular expression of these historic terroirs.

Best enjoyed with refined dishes that can match its depth and complexity, such as lobster, langoustines, truffled poultry, veal sweetbreads, or mature hard cheeses. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C, and consider a short decant if desired to allow the wine to open up, especially for a mature vintage like 1999.
