Bruno Rocca Barbaresco Curra 2022 is a refined expression of 100% Nebbiolo from the celebrated Rabajà cru in Barbaresco, one of Piedmont’s most respected vineyard sites. Sourced from old vines planted in the 1950s through mass selection, this wine reflects both the depth of a historic terroir and the precision of a producer deeply rooted in the Langhe tradition.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, expect the classic translucent ruby-garnet hue that signals a young Barbaresco with real potential ahead. Aromatically, it is likely to show lifted red cherry, wild berry, rose petal, dried herbs, and subtle mineral and earthy tones, all framed by Nebbiolo’s signature finesse and structure. On the palate, the wine should be elegant and layered, with bright acidity, firm but polished tannins, and a long, savory finish that often reveals notes of spice, tar, and crushed stones as it develops. While already expressive in its youth, it has the structure to age gracefully for many years, gaining complexity and softness over time.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from the Cru Rabajà in the village of Barbaresco, specifically from parcels Fg. 5, plots 430-406, where the limestone-rich soils provide an ideal environment for Nebbiolo. The old vines, planted in the 1950s after mass selection, contribute concentration, complexity, and a strong sense of place. Production is focused on preserving the character of the site, with vinification carried out to highlight the grape’s natural aromatic precision, structure, and aging potential.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Barbaresco pairs beautifully with truffle dishes, braised veal, game birds, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses, where its acidity and tannin can complement rich, savory flavors. Serve at around 16-18°C and consider decanting for 1-2 hours if opening young, especially to allow the Nebbiolo aromatics and structure to fully unfold.
