Produced only in exceptional vintages from the best vineyard parcels, it combines power, polish, and remarkable depth—crafted under the guidance of Chuck Wagner, whose name has become synonymous with some of California’s most iconic wines. Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep, inky ruby color that hints at its concentration and richness. The bouquet opens gradually, revealing layers of dark cherry, blueberry tart, boysenberry, tar, milk chocolate, and licorice. With a little air, the aromatics become more expressive and inviting, showing both ripe fruit and savory depth. On the palate, it is full-bodied and intensely flavored, led by dark cherry, blueberry, raspberry liqueur, boysenberry, and delicate shavings of milk chocolate, all carried by a seamless, generous texture. The finish is long and almost endless, with enough structure to suggest excellent aging potential. It is already impressive now, but time in bottle will only add complexity and polish.

Caymus Special Selection is made only in vintages when fruit from the estate’s best vineyard blocks reaches an exceptionally high standard, ensuring maximum concentration and balance. This is a decadent Cabernet Sauvignon that pairs beautifully with prime rib, grilled ribeye, lamb chops, braised short ribs, and dishes with rich mushroom or truffle accents. It also works well with aged hard cheeses and dark chocolate-based desserts if you want to lean into its luxurious style. Serve at 16–18°C and consider decanting for 1–2 hours to allow the aromatics and tannins to fully open.
