Chateau D'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé 2024

Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel is one of Provence’s most celebrated rosés, and for good reason: it combines striking freshness with a remarkably silky, full texture that sets it apart from the crowd. Made from carefully selected fruit grown around La Motte in the heart of Côtes de Provence, it has become a benchmark wine for modern premium rosé and a true icon of southern France.

Makuprofiili
Whispering Angel pours a beautiful pale salmon color with a bright, clear edge. The nose is lifted and expressive, showing rose petals, fresh cherry, raspberry, lily, and a delicate hint of dried violet. On the palate, it is both generous and refined, with a creamy, mouth-coating texture more reminiscent of a supple white wine than a lean rosé. Layers of fresh red berries carry through the finish, which is long, pure, and pleasantly persistent. Best enjoyed young for its vibrant fruit and freshness, though it can develop added complexity over the next 1-2 years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes are sourced from selected vineyard sites around La Motte in the Provençal hinterland, where the warm Mediterranean climate and cooling influences help preserve aromatic freshness. Fruit is harvested in the early morning to protect its purity, then rigorously sorted, including optical selection and additional hand sorting to ensure only the best berries are used. A portion of the juice is drawn off via the saignée method and combined with lightly pressed juice, then vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to retain freshness and finesse.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve Whispering Angel well chilled, ideally at 8-10°C. It is an excellent match for grilled prawns, summer salads, sushi, roast chicken, Niçoise salad, and Mediterranean dishes, and it also works beautifully as an aperitif. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and enjoy while fresh and cool.
