Château Durfort-Vivens Margaux 2019

Château Durfort-Vivens Margaux 2019 is a beautifully expressive example of the finesse and elegance that define the Margaux appellation. As a 2nd Growth classified wine crafted from biodynamically farmed grapes, it reflects both a meticulous approach in the vineyard and a deep respect for the estate’s terroir and heritage.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a brilliant deep ruby color. The nose is layered and captivating, offering ripe black cherries, cassis and plums, lifted by subtle notes of violets, cedar, graphite, and a touch of cocoa and spice. On the palate, the wine is refined and impeccably balanced, with silky tannins, lively acidity, and concentrated dark fruit that give it a luxurious, harmonious texture. The finish is long and persistent, unfolding with hints of dark chocolate, mocha, and a mineral edge. While already enjoyable for its polished fruit and charm, the 2019 vintage has excellent aging potential and can develop beautifully over 20 to 30 years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, an area known for gravelly soils that favor Cabernet Sauvignon and bring precision, fragrance, and structure to the wines. Château Durfort-Vivens farms biodynamically, with a strong focus on working in harmony with the vineyard’s natural balance and expressing the character of the site. The wine is produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, carefully vinified to preserve purity, elegance, and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Margaux pairs wonderfully with classic dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, venison, or truffle-infused mushroom dishes. It also works beautifully with aged hard cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 1–2 hours if enjoying it young to allow the wine to खुल fully and reveal its aromatic depth.
