Château Durfort-Vivens Margaux 2021 is a refined expression of one of Bordeaux’s most elegant appellations, combining precision, freshness, and the graceful depth that has made Margaux so admired. As a 2nd Growth from the 1855 Classification, it stands out for its organic farming, polished style, and the unmistakable balance between ripe fruit, floral perfume, and classic Left Bank structure.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby color that hints at both concentration and finesse. The nose is layered and inviting, with aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry, violet, cedar, and a subtle graphite note that adds classic Bordeaux complexity. On the palate, it is silky and beautifully composed, with fine tannins, bright freshness, and a core of vivid red fruit framed by gentle spice. The finish is long and persistent, unfolding with mocha, licorice, and mineral nuances. While approachable now, this is a wine with clear aging potential and should continue to develop gracefully over the next 10 to 20 years.

Viininvalmistus
Sourced from vineyards in Margaux, the wine reflects the appellation’s gravelly soils and temperate Atlantic-influenced climate, both of which contribute to aromatic lift, finesse, and natural balance. The grapes—Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc—are organically cultivated, with harvest and vinification carried out to preserve purity of fruit and the estate’s signature elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Margaux pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or aged hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for about 1 to 2 hours if drinking young to help the wine open up and show its full aromatic range.
