Château Mouton Rothschild 2000 Jeroboam is a true Bordeaux icon in one of the most impressive formats available. From the celebrated Pauillac estate, this grand cru combines power, precision and pedigree, with the 2000 vintage already regarded as one of the great modern classics. The artist-labeled bottle and the estate’s long history only add to the sense of occasion.

Makuprofiili
Deep garnet in the glass, this wine offers remarkable concentration and depth. The nose is rich and layered, showing crème de cassis, black cherry, cedar, tobacco leaf, earthy spice and subtle floral accents, with hints of coffee and dark chocolate emerging as it opens. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with Cabernet Sauvignon driving the wine’s backbone: dense tannins, vivid black fruit and a long, resonant finish. There is both richness and restraint here, making it a wine built for the long haul. While already impressive, it has the structure and balance to continue aging beautifully for decades.

Viininvalmistus
The estate sits on deep gravel soils in Pauillac on the Médoc peninsula, where the poor, well-drained terroir is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is planted densely and managed with meticulous care, with harvest and vineyard work carried out by highly experienced teams to preserve purity and ripeness. Vinification follows the estate’s exacting standards, with lots selected and blended to express the character of the vintage while maintaining the house style of concentration, structure and elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served with richly flavored dishes such as roasted lamb, beef Wellington, game, or truffle-infused preparations, as well as mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression of the wine’s aromatics and structure. Decanting is recommended, especially for a Jeroboam, and should be done well in advance to allow the wine to fully open and soften.
