Château Pichon-Longueville Baron Black Gift Box 2015 (3 flasker)

This highly limited wooden gift box from the château includes three bottles of Château Pichon-Longueville Baron 2015, a prized Pauillac from one of Bordeaux’s most respected Second Growth estates. Known as a true “super second,” Pichon Baron combines power, precision, and refinement in a style that can rival some of the region’s most celebrated names.

In the glass, the 2015 vintage shows a medium to deep garnet-purple color, hinting at both richness and finesse. The nose is especially expressive, offering chocolate-covered cherries, crushed red currants, mulberries, baking spices, potpourri, and bay leaf, with a subtle note of fallen leaves adding complexity. The palate is elegant yet structured, with bright, perfumed red fruit framed by very fine but firm tannins. Medium-bodied and fresh, it finishes long and persistent, with the balance and intensity to age beautifully for 30 years or more.

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron is located in Pauillac, Bordeaux, where gravelly soils and an enviable Atlantic-influenced climate provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon-led blends. The estate works with meticulous vineyard care tailored to each growing season, and all grapes are harvested by hand, with strict selection by variety, vine age, and parcel. In the cellar, fermentation is followed by a maceration period of around three to four weeks, then malolactic fermentation and maturation in barrel, with the final blend assembled only after tasting more than 40 different wines from the estate.

This is a wine that calls for classic, flavorful dishes such as roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game, or truffle-accented mushroom dishes. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and if opened young, decant for 1–2 hours to allow the aromatics and tannins to open fully.

Founded in 1689, Château Pichon-Longueville Baron was originally part of a single estate before being divided in the 19th century between the Pichon families. Classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the estate reached new heights after its acquisition by AXA in the 1980s, when major investments and modern winemaking helped restore its standing among Bordeaux’s elite. Today, it is widely regarded as one of Pauillac’s benchmark estates and one of the most admired names in the region.
