On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied with firm structure, polished intensity, and a core of mineral-driven black fruit. The estate works with meticulous attention to detail, adapting vineyard practices to each vintage’s weather conditions, and harvesting is carried out entirely by hand with careful parcel-by-parcel and cluster selection. In the cellar, fermentation is followed by a maceration period of three to four weeks, malolactic fermentation, and aging in barrel, with the final blend assembled only after tasting dozens of individual lots to capture the best expression of the vintage.

Today, Pichon Baron is regarded as one of Pauillac’s most accomplished estates and a benchmark for concentrated, meticulously crafted Bordeaux.
