Château Rocheyron 2015 Magnum

Château Rocheyron 2015 Magnum is a refined Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Bordeaux, crafted primarily from Merlot with a supporting role from Cabernet Franc. Produced under the guidance of Peter Sisseck, it combines old-vine concentration, low yields, and a classic winemaking approach that highlights both elegance and structure. The magnum format adds an extra layer of appeal, offering slower evolution and excellent aging potential.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Château Rocheyron 2015 Magnum shows a deep, dark colour that already hints at its concentration and depth. The nose opens with ripe red and black berries, dried herbs, spice, and subtle oak notes, all woven together in a complex and inviting bouquet. On the palate, the wine is balanced and structured, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, persistent finish. The fruit is rich yet poised, supported by a polished frame that should allow the wine to age gracefully for many years, especially in magnum.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from old vines rooted in Saint-Émilion’s limestone and clay soils, a terroir well suited to producing wines with both richness and freshness. The fruit is harvested by hand, ensuring careful selection of the best grapes, and vinified with a gentle, low-intervention approach. Fermentation takes place in both concrete and stainless steel tanks, followed by 15 to 18 months of maturation in French oak barrels, with only a limited proportion of new oak used.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a natural match for rich meat dishes such as beef, lamb, duck, or game, as well as mature cheeses with depth and character. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromas and structure. Decanting is recommended, especially in its youth, to help the wine open up and reveal its full aromatic complexity.
