Château Rocheyron 2016 is a striking Saint-Émilion red that blends power, precision, and chalky elegance in one beautifully composed wine. The large-format 3-liter bottle makes it especially appealing for cellaring or sharing, while the combination of old-vine Merlot and Cabernet Franc from a cool, limestone-rich terroir gives it both depth and finesse. Crafted with a clear focus on purity and structure, it reflects the refined style that has made great Bordeaux so enduringly admired.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Château Rocheyron 2016 shows a deep, dark ruby color with impressive concentration. The nose opens with ripe black cherry, blackberry, and subtle notes of graphite, cedar, and crushed stone, all wrapped in a polished floral lift. On the palate, the wine is intense and focused, with a dense but silky texture and beautifully ripe, precise tannins. Dark fruit is supported by fresh mineral tension and a chalky, lingering finish that gives the wine impressive length. This is a cellar-worthy Bordeaux with the structure to evolve gracefully over the next decade and beyond.

Viininvalmistus
The vineyards are planted on the limestone plateau west of Saint-Émilion, where old Merlot vines and a smaller proportion of Cabernet Franc benefit from well-drained, living soils that naturally encourage balance and freshness. Farming is carried out according to biodynamic principles, and harvesting is done by hand in small parcels to preserve the quality of each plot. In the cellar, fermentation takes place spontaneously, followed by aging in French oak barrels, allowing the wine’s structure, energy, and terroir-driven character to shine through.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game birds, truffle dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C to bring out its aromatics and texture. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended, especially in its youth, to allow the wine to open fully and reveal its layers of fruit, mineral detail, and fine tannins.
