In the glass, it shows a lovely pale straw-yellow color that immediately signals freshness and elegance. The nose opens with bright citrus, apricot, pear, fresh hay, subtle spice, and the hallmark flinty smoke note that defines great Pouilly Fumé. On the palate, the wine is dry, crisp, and expressive, with flavors of green apple, pear, and fresh citrus wrapped around a finely mineral backbone. The finish is clean and persistent, with a smoky, stony edge that adds depth and finesse. It is already highly enjoyable now, but it also has the structure to age gracefully for several years.
