In the glass, this 2008 Champagne shows a refined golden hue with a lively, persistent mousse. The nose unfolds with white flowers, ripe citrus, toasted almonds, brioche, and a subtle mineral thread, reflecting both the quality of the vintage and the wine’s extended development. The palate is generous yet beautifully balanced, with a creamy texture supported by crisp acidity and impressive structure. Flavours of lemon zest, orchard fruit, roasted nuts, and a faint smoky nuance carry through to a long, elegant finish. Thanks to the strength of the 2008 vintage, this cuvée has excellent aging potential and should continue to gain complexity over time.

Cuvée William Deutz is made from fruit selected from some of Champagne’s finest sites, with the blend typically led by Pinot Noir and complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier for freshness and finesse. The grapes come from Grand Cru and Premier Cru terroirs in the Champagne region, where chalk-rich soils help preserve acidity and enhance minerality. The harvest is carried out by hand, and the wine is vinified to preserve purity, structure, and the character of the vintage before extended maturation in bottle.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne works beautifully as an aperitif, but it really shines at the table with shellfish such as lobster, oysters, and scallops, as well as fish dishes, caviar, and mushroom-based plates with creamy sauces. Serve chilled at 8-10°C. Decanting is not necessary, though a short rest in the glass can help the wine open up.
