Domaine Chanzy Rully En Rosey Pinot Noir 2022 is a beautiful reminder that Rully is capable of far more than just elegant white wines. Sourced from the En Rosey vineyard in the Côte Chalonnaise, this Pinot Noir captures the finesse, freshness, and charm that make Burgundy so compelling, while offering excellent value for the quality in the glass.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a lovely ruby-red colour that hints at its bright, fruit-driven style. The nose opens with ripe blackcurrant, blackberry, cherry, and raspberry, lifted by a subtle touch of anise. On the palate, the wine is all about fresh red fruit, soft texture, and beautifully polished tannins. It feels balanced and refined rather than heavy, with enough structure to drink well now and the potential to develop further over the next few years.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit comes from En Rosey, a vineyard located around 350 metres above sea level on the Côte Chalonnaise, where the cooler hillside setting helps preserve freshness and aromatic precision. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, allowing it to gain texture and complexity without losing its delicate Pinot Noir character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir works wonderfully with roast chicken, duck breast, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, or mild game dishes. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 15–16°C, and consider a short decant if opening it young to let the aromatics fully unfold.

Maison Chanzy was founded by Daniel Chanzy in 1974 in Bouzeron, with a vision of producing Côte Chalonnaise wines that could stand alongside the prestige of the Côte d'Or. Today, Chanzy is regarded as one of the leading producers in the region, with vineyard holdings across Bouzeron, Rully, Givry, and Mercurey. Since the domaine changed hands in 2013, it has continued to grow in reputation, with a strong focus on sustainable farming and high-quality winemaking under cellar master and winemaker Max Blondelle.
