Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche 2016 is one of Burgundy’s most coveted Pinot Noirs, combining extraordinary depth, precision and refinement from one of the region’s most legendary Grand Cru sites. In the glass, the 2016 La Tâche shows a poised, deeply colored Pinot Noir profile with remarkable intensity beneath its reserved exterior. The nose opens gradually with aromas of wild berries, rose petal, licorice, smoked duck and subtle cedar notes from fine new oak, all unfolding with impressive complexity and detail. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and velvety, yet tightly coiled at the core. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without harshness, while juicy acidity keeps the wine energized and balanced through a long, resonant finish. This is a La Tâche built for patience, with excellent aging potential and the promise of even greater nuance after considerable bottle development.

Viininvalmistus
La Tâche comes from one of Vosne-Romanée’s most distinguished Grand Cru vineyards, where Burgundy’s classic limestone-and-clay soils help shape the wine’s combination of fragrance, depth and precision. Grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted on arrival at the winery to ensure only pristine fruit is used. Fermentation takes place with traditional methods in large old wooden vats, followed by aging in new oak barrels for around 16 to 18 months, allowing the wine to gain texture and complexity while preserving its pure Pinot Noir character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best enjoyed with refined dishes such as roast duck, pigeon, veal tenderloin, wild mushroom risotto or truffle-based preparations that can complement the wine’s depth and aromatic complexity. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for one to two hours if the bottle is opened young, though extended cellar aging will reward patience even more.
