Domaine Dominique Lahaye Meursault 2020 is a finely crafted Chardonnay from one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine appellations. Sourced from two small parcels totaling less than one hectare, it reflects a meticulous, terroir-driven approach that combines careful hand-harvesting, rigorous sorting, and thoughtful oak aging. With its balance of richness, precision, and elegance, this is a classic Meursault that captures both the depth of the region and the producer’s commitment to sustainable viticulture.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a clear, golden hue that hints at its concentration and subtle oak influence. The nose is inviting and layered, opening with citrus fruit, white flowers, and a gentle nutty nuance. On the palate, it offers a rounded and generous texture with flavors of green apple and pear, supported by a refined mineral freshness and a discreet touch of oak. The acidity keeps everything in balance, leading to a long, harmonious finish with real finesse. While enjoyable now, it should also develop additional complexity over the coming years, rewarding cellaring.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from two small Meursault parcels cultivated with great care and respect for the terroir. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by strict selection at the winery to ensure only the best fruit is used. Fermentation takes place in large casks, after which the wine ages for 10 months in smaller barrels, about 25% of them new, adding subtle texture and spice without overwhelming the wine. Domaine Dominique Lahaye also follows sustainable practices and holds Haute Valeur Environnementale certification, underscoring a production philosophy that works in harmony with nature.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Meursault pairs beautifully with roast chicken, veal in cream sauce, grilled lobster, scallops, or rich fish dishes such as turbot or monkfish. It also works well with soft, creamy cheeses and mushroom-based dishes. Serve it slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a short aeration can help it open up if served young.
