Domaine du Pegau Pink Pegau 2022

Domaine du Pégaü Pink Pégaü 2022 is not your average Provence-style rosé. Crafted by Laurence Féraud, it brings real character, depth, and a touch of Rhône personality to the glass, with a style that has earned serious respect from critics and wine lovers alike.

Makuprofiili
The wine shows a lovely salmon-pink color, hinting at both delicacy and substance. On the nose, it opens with pear, strawberry, redcurrant, and subtle Provencal spice, offering far more complexity than the usual light rosé profile. The palate is fresh and vivid, with ripe strawberry and grapefruit leading the way, followed by a refined mineral finish that recalls the structure and saline edge often found in Bandol. There is enough depth here to enjoy now, but the wine’s balance and character also suggest it will hold up well over the short term.

Viininvalmistus
This cuvée comes from old Cinsault vines, aged between 35 and 60 years, giving the wine natural concentration and texture. Domaine du Pégaü is known for preserving a traditional Rhône identity rather than chasing a more commercial, fruit-only style, and that same philosophy is reflected in the production of this rosé. The result is a wine with both freshness and grip, shaped by careful vineyard selection and restrained winemaking.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve at around 12°C to let the wine’s aromatics and complexity show properly. It pairs beautifully with Mediterranean dishes, grilled seafood, summer salads, bouillabaisse, lightly spiced poultry, and charcuterie. Decanting is not necessary, but a little time in the glass will help it open up.
