Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis 2012 is a refined Burgundy Pinot Noir that captures both the elegance and depth of this celebrated village. Sourced from several parcels around Morey-Saint-Denis, it reflects the distinctive limestone and clay soils of the area, while the estate’s thoughtful use of whole-cluster fermentation adds aromatic lift and texture. The result is a beautifully balanced wine that combines classic Pinot Noir finesse with the quiet complexity for which Dujac is known.

In the glass, the 2012 vintage shows a bright, polished ruby colour, hinting at its youthful energy and graceful evolution. The nose opens with ripe cherry, raspberry and violet, followed by subtle notes of spice, forest floor and a faint mineral edge. On the palate, it is elegant and concentrated, with supple tannins, lively acidity and a silky, layered texture. The finish is long and precise, carrying a cool mineral character that gives the wine impressive definition. While already highly expressive, this is a wine with good aging potential and should continue to gain nuance over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from multiple parcels surrounding Morey-Saint-Denis, where the mix of limestone and clay soils gives the Pinot Noir structure, depth and a distinctly mineral profile. The grapes are hand-harvested to preserve fruit quality, and the wine is vinified in part with whole clusters, a traditional Burgundian method that adds aromatic complexity and refined texture. It is then matured in French oak barrels, with a proportion of new oak used to add gentle spice and roundness without overshadowing the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis 2012 pairs beautifully with roast duck, game birds, veal, mushroom dishes and other earthy, delicately flavoured cuisine. It also works well with soft-ripened cheeses and dishes featuring truffle or forest mushrooms. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 30-60 minutes if the wine is still showing some restraint.
