Domaine Dujac Morey Saint Denis Blanc 2009

Domaine Dujac Morey-Saint-Denis Blanc 2009 is a refined and rather rare white Burgundy from one of the most respected names in the Côte de Nuits. Sourced from the estate’s own parcels on the lower slopes of Morey-Saint-Denis, it brings together cool limestone-driven freshness, subtle oak aging, and the quiet depth that has made mature white Burgundy so sought after.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a golden-yellow hue that already hints at its maturity. The nose opens with aromas of pear, apple, and toasted nuts, layered with a gentle mineral edge that reflects its terroir. On the palate, it is elegant and well balanced, combining ripe fruit with a touch of creamy richness and a vivid line of acidity that keeps the wine precise and long. After more than a decade in bottle, the 2009 vintage is now beautifully harmonious, offering both finesse and complexity at a very attractive drinking point. It should continue to hold well for near-term enjoyment, though its best days are likely here now.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from Domaine Dujac’s own parcels in the lower part of the Morey-Saint-Denis slope, where clay and limestone create a cool, mineral-driven terroir well suited to Chardonnay. The grapes are handled with a focus on preserving freshness, and the wine is aged for around one year in oak barrels, with only a small proportion of new wood used to add gentle texture and depth without overpowering the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Best served with refined dishes such as roast chicken, poached poultry, shellfish, scallops, lobster, or creamy mushroom-based dishes. It also pairs beautifully with aged Comté or other nutty cheeses. Serve at 10–12°C, and decanting is not essential, though a short aeration can help open the wine if it has been recently cellared.
