Domaine G. Roumier Bonnes-Mares 2013 is a finely etched Grand Cru Burgundy that captures both the precision of its terroir and the restraint of a cooler vintage. From Roumier’s prized parcel on the limestone-clay soils of Bonnes-Mares, this Pinot Noir combines aromatic freshness, mineral drive, and impressive aging potential, making it a compelling expression of one of Chambolle-Musigny’s most celebrated sites.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a refined, elegant ruby-garnet hue with a lifted, poised character. The nose offers red cherry, cranberry, violet, and a subtle herbal note, all framed by a distinctly cool, floral Burgundy profile. On the palate, it is precise and focused, with fresh acidity and fine, chalky tannins that give structure without heaviness. The finish is long, mineral, and taut in its youth, but it opens beautifully with time in the glass. While already expressive, this is a wine built for the cellar and should develop added depth and complexity over many years.

Viininvalmistus
Roumier’s parcel in Bonnes-Mares lies on a prominent band of limestone-rich clay soil between Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis, a site that brings both power and finesse to the wine. The 2013 vintage was cool and uneven, but the grapes were harvested by hand at excellent aromatic freshness and intensity. Vinification followed traditional methods with partial destemming, fermentation in the classic style, and maturation for 16–18 months in oak barrels, including a moderate share of new oak to maintain balance and preserve the wine’s natural elegance.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with duck breast, roast pigeon, venison, mushroom dishes, or truffle-infused cuisine, as well as aged cheeses with delicate texture. Serve at around 16–18°C to best highlight its perfume and structure, and consider decanting for about 1 hour if drinking young to allow the aromatics to unfold and soften the wine’s youthful restraint.
