In the glass, the wine shows a luminous pale gold colour, hinting at its freshness and concentration. The nose is immediately inviting, with layered aromas of ripe lemon, white flowers, green apple, and a subtle spicy nuance from gentle oak ageing, all lifted by a clear mineral profile reminiscent of wet stones and chalk. The palate is harmonious and focused, opening with citrus and stone fruit before expanding into a creamy, almost silken texture. Notes of hazelnut and a delicate smoky minerality add depth, while the vibrant acidity keeps the wine energetic and precise. Clavoillon has excellent aging potential and is best enjoyed after 5 to 10 years, when its complexity and textural finesse become even more pronounced.
