Domaine Maillard Chorey-Les-Beaune 2021

Domaine Maillard Chorey-les-Beaune is a classic expression of Pinot Noir from one of the most reliable village-level appellations in Burgundy. As the domaine’s signature wine and largest production, it reflects the family’s close connection to the vineyards surrounding Chorey-les-Beaune and showcases the finesse, purity, and charm that make Burgundy so compelling.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a beautiful depth of color and a polished, inviting presence. The nose opens with fresh red berries and dried flowers, leading into a palate that is clean, precise, and wonderfully balanced. Ripe strawberries and subtle spicy notes give the wine warmth and dimension, while its Burgundy-style finesse keeps everything refined and elegant. It can be enjoyed young for its freshness and energy, but it also has the structure to develop gracefully for up to 12 years.

Viininvalmistus
The grapes come from 5.8 hectares of vineyards planted around the village of Chorey-les-Beaune, where the Maillard family lives and works. With vines more than 30 years old, the parcels offer naturally concentrated fruit and good quality raw material, while the Burgundy terroir brings lift, clarity, and elegance. The grapes are carefully sorted on arrival at the winery, fermented in open vats, and then aged for 15 months in 228-liter oak barrels before bottling.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with poultry, veal, roasted chicken, turkey, and other light meat dishes, as well as mushroom-based cuisine. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 15–17°C, and consider decanting it for 20–30 minutes if drinking it young to allow the aromas to खुलly open.
