Domaine Marey Aloxe-Corton Les Bruyères 2021 is a refined and deeply expressive Pinot Noir from one of the most characterful sites in the northern Côte de Beaune. Sourced from Domaine Marey’s own vineyard high on the Corton hill, this wine combines elegance, structure, and impressive ageing potential in a way that speaks clearly of both terroir and careful winemaking.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red color that hints at its concentration and youthful intensity. The nose is beautifully layered with dark cherry, redcurrant, raspberry, peony, prune, truffle, and a subtle touch of cinnamon, giving it both freshness and depth. On the palate, the wine is still youthful, with a fruit-forward core framed by a firm, structured body and an unmistakably elegant profile. It has the balance and complexity to evolve gracefully over the next 3 to 5 years, and under the right conditions it can hold its peak for up to 15 years.

Viininvalmistus
The fruit comes from Domaine Marey’s own vineyard on the Corton hill, around 300 meters above sea level in the northern part of the Côte de Beaune. The soils are red-brown and naturally rich in chalk, clay, and marl, an ideal environment for Pinot Noir, where the vines benefit from excellent drainage and a terroir that lends both finesse and structure. The grapes are fully de-stemmed before pressing, fermentation lasts around 15 days, and the wine is then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir is a natural match for roasted duck, veal, game birds, mushroom dishes, and fine cuts of beef served simply. It should be enjoyed at around 16–18°C, and while it can be opened in advance, a gentle decant is recommended if served young to help the wine reveal its full aromatic range.
