In the glass, the wine shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections, a youthful sign of concentration and vibrancy. The bouquet is layered and expressive, offering ripe dark berries such as blackcurrant and cherry, alongside floral notes of violet and rose petals, subtle spice, light toasty oak, and a fine mineral thread. The palate is full-bodied and well-structured, with firm yet ripe tannins and a fresh acidity that keeps the wine poised despite its richness. Flavours unfold in waves of dark fruit, spice, liquorice, and mineral nuances, finishing long, elegant, and persistent. While already impressive with some aeration, the 2018 vintage has the balance and concentration to develop beautifully over the next 15 to 20 years.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with richly flavoured dishes such as game, roast beef, duck, or preparations with truffle and earthy mushroom sauces. It is best served slightly cool, around 16-18°C, and will benefit from decanting for about one to two hours if enjoyed young, to allow the aromatics and texture to open fully.
