Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby hue with a bright, youthful edge. The nose opens with aromas of cherry, blackberry, violet, forest floor, and warm spice, supported by a subtle toasted note from oak aging. On the palate, this is a medium- to full-bodied Pinot Noir with ripe dark fruit, earthy undertones, and finely grained tannins. The acidity brings freshness and balance, while the finish is long, layered, and gently savory. It already offers plenty of charm, but it should also reward several years of cellaring, gaining more nuance and silkiness over time.

Les Cras is a respected Pommard site with limestone and clay soils that lend the wine its tension, minerality, and firm backbone. The 2021 growing season in Burgundy was marked by spring frost and lower yields, but the reduced crop delivered grapes of strong concentration and quality. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, the wine is vinified to preserve the character of the vineyard, with judicious oak aging adding polish without overshadowing the fruit.

This wine is a natural partner for duck breast, roast lamb, game birds, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses. Serve it at 16-18°C for the best balance of fruit and structure. Decanting for around 30-60 minutes is recommended if drinking young, especially to help the aromatics open up and soften the tannins.
