Domaine Parigot Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves 2022 is a finely crafted Pinot Noir from one of Beaune’s most respected premier cru sites in Côte de Beaune. With its balance of elegance, depth, and excellent value, it shows once again why Alexandre Parigot has built a reputation for making serious Burgundy without the stratospheric price tag.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a beautiful ruby-red color that immediately signals freshness and refinement. The nose is layered and expressive, with aromas of red cherries, plums, raspberries, forest floor, red liquorice, crushed stones, and a subtle touch of vanilla from oak aging. On the palate, the wine is shaped by vibrant red cherry, redcurrant, and cranberry notes, backed by hints of smoke and vanilla. It has the kind of poised structure and concentration that should allow it to evolve beautifully over the coming years, gaining extra complexity and depth with bottle age.

Viininvalmistus
The wine comes from Parigot’s parcel in Les Grèves, a well-situated premier cru vineyard in Beaune, within the Côte de Beaune. A majority of the grapes are destemmed before pressing and fermentation, and the wine is aged for 18 months, first in a combination of new and used French oak barrels and then for the final 6 months in stainless steel before bottling.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for roast duck, pan-seared pigeon, mushroom dishes, veal, or herb-roasted chicken, as well as aged soft cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and while it does not require decanting, a short decant can help open up the aromatics if enjoyed young.
