Dominio de Pingus Flor de Pingus 2014 is a refined and highly sought-after Tempranillo from one of Spain’s most admired modern producers. Sourced directly from cellar release, this vintage offers the confidence of impeccable provenance, with fruit drawn from old-vine parcels in La Horra that give the wine both depth and unmistakable Ribera del Duero character. As a matured and especially successful 2014, it captures the balance of power, freshness, and precision that has made Flor de Pingus a benchmark wine.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep violet-red color that signals concentration and vitality. The nose is expressive and layered, opening with dark berries such as blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by herbs, toasted wood, tobacco leaf, and subtle spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, yet carried by silky tannins and a vibrant, elegant acidity that keeps the wine feeling lifted rather than heavy. Flavors of ripe black fruit, dark chocolate, espresso, and spicy oak unfold through a long, persistent finish. While it is already enjoyable with some air, the structure and complexity suggest it will continue to evolve beautifully over the coming years.

Viininvalmistus
Flor de Pingus 2014 is made entirely from Tempranillo grown on old vines in La Horra, including parcels such as El Pino, Fuentearriba, Fuentenarro, and Castillo. These sites bring deep root systems and a strong sense of terroir, while the warm 2014 season was moderated by cool nights that helped preserve freshness and elegance. The grapes were carefully selected, fermented in a combination of wooden vats and inert materials, then aged for around 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels, including new, used, and previously Pingus-used casks. Minimal filtration and fining were used to protect texture and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that shines with richly flavored dishes such as roast lamb, braised short ribs, game, grilled entrecôte, or mature hard cheeses. It also works wonderfully with mushroom-based dishes and Iberian-inspired cuisine. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting for at least one hour is recommended if opening now, to allow the wine to fully раскры its aromatic depth and polished structure.
