DuMOL’s Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard Ryan 2022 is a compelling single-vineyard Pinot Noir that showcases the finesse of Sonoma Coast fruit at its most expressive. Crafted from five different clones grown at altitude in sandy soils close to the sea, it delivers a distinct combination of freshness, precision, and elegance. With a little bottle age already on its side, this is a Pinot Noir that feels beautifully settled and ready to enjoy now, while still promising plenty more to come.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vivid, polished ruby tone typical of cool-climate California Pinot. The nose is lifted and aromatic, opening with red cherries, strawberries, and pomegranate, followed by rosemary, black pepper, and a subtle earthy note that adds depth and complexity. The palate is silky yet energetic, with layers of red plum, blueberry, red apple, and rhubarb unfolding over a fine, peppery frame. There’s impressive freshness throughout, balanced by refined oak influence and a long, smooth finish. Drinking beautifully now, it has the structure and concentration to age gracefully for at least another decade.

Viininvalmistus
This wine comes from the Dutton-Jentoft Vineyard, where vines are planted high up in sandy soils near the Pacific coast, a setting that naturally encourages slow ripening and bright acidity. The blend is built from five Pinot Noir clones, adding nuance and layered complexity to the finished wine. After harvest, the wine was matured for 11 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new, giving it subtle spice and texture without overshadowing the purity of the fruit.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
A great match for roast duck, mushroom risotto, herb-roasted chicken, seared salmon, or dishes with earthy components such as truffle, beetroot, or wild mushrooms. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 14–16°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short decant can help open the aromas if enjoyed young.
