Failla Lola Pinot Noir 2021 is a beautifully balanced Californian Pinot Noir that combines coastal freshness with depth of flavor. Sourced from two distinctive vineyard sites in the Petaluma Gap and Fort Ross-Seaview, it captures the cool-climate elegance and energy that have made Failla such a benchmark producer for expressive Pinot Noir.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby-red color that hints at its lively, refined style. The nose opens with dark cherry, red plum, raspberry, pomegranate, black tea, spice, and a subtle earthy note that adds complexity and charm. On the palate, the wine feels effortlessly drinkable, with vivid fruit that seems to float across the mouth rather than weigh it down. There is a gentle warmth to the fruit, but nothing overly rich or jammy; instead, it remains fresh and poised, finishing with fine acidity and a polished sense of balance. While already enjoyable now, it also has the structure to age gracefully for 10 to 12 years.

Viininvalmistus
This Pinot Noir comes from two cool-climate vineyard sources: one in the windy Petaluma Gap and the other in Fort Ross-Seaview along the Sonoma Coast. Both sites benefit from coastal influence, which helps preserve acidity and develop aromatic complexity, while the vineyards are farmed according to organic principles. The grapes are harvested and sorted by hand, and winemaker Ehren Jordan ages the wine in a combination of French oak barrels and cement tanks to maintain purity, texture, and transparency of fruit.

This is a versatile Pinot Noir that pairs well with roasted duck, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, herb-crusted poultry, and dishes featuring earthy ingredients like truffle or lentils. Serve slightly cool, ideally around 14–16°C, and consider a brief decant of 20–30 minutes if opening it young to let the aromatics unfold.
