Failla Olivet Ranch Pinot Noir 2020 is a beautifully balanced and highly drinkable expression of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, shaped by one of Failla’s most important vineyards. Sourced from biodynamically farmed Olivet Vineyard, it combines pure fruit, finesse, and subtle earthiness with a sense of energy and charm that has made the site a key part of the winery’s story.

In the glass, this Pinot Noir shows a vivid ruby-red color that immediately sets the tone for a wine with brightness and elegance. The nose opens with dark cherries, red plums, raspberries, tobacco, warm spices, and a gentle earthy edge, giving it both freshness and complexity. On the palate, the wine is silky and fruit-driven, with a lifted, almost floating texture and just a touch of warmth that adds depth without ever feeling heavy or jammy. It is impressively well balanced, offering character and charm in equal measure, and it has plenty of positive aging potential ahead.

Olivet Vineyard sits in the heart of Russian River Valley, a cool-climate part of California known for producing refined Pinot Noir with natural vibrancy and aromatic depth. The vineyard is farmed according to biodynamic principles, and the fruit is harvested and carefully sorted by hand. Aging takes place in a combination of French oak barrels and cement tanks, a thoughtful approach that preserves purity while adding texture and complexity.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Pinot Noir pairs well with roasted duck, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, herb-roasted chicken, or pork tenderloin with earthy sides such as lentils or root vegetables. Serve slightly chilled at around 14–16°C. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open up the wine if enjoyed young.
