Deep and densely colored, the wine opens with an intense aromatic profile of smoky oak, licorice, black raspberry, and ripe black cherry. With time in the glass, it reveals layers of sweet jammy fruit, spice, and savory complexity, giving it a plush yet highly refined impression. On the palate, it is full-bodied, thick, and richly textured, with a remarkable core of black cherry and dark berry fruit. Despite its power, the wine retains impressive balance and energy, and while already beautiful to drink, it has the structure and depth to continue evolving gracefully over many years.

The vineyard’s conditions favor low yields and concentrated fruit, while careful harvesting and meticulous winemaking at Guigal aim to preserve purity, structure, and aging potential.

This wine pairs beautifully with richly flavored dishes such as roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, venison, braised short ribs, or game birds with earthy sauces. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1–2 hours to allow its layered aromatics and texture to fully open.
