Hartford Court Chardonnay Fog Dance 2019 is a beautifully concentrated Russian River Valley Chardonnay sourced from the prized Fog Dance Vineyard, where cool coastal influence and exceptional soils help create wines of real depth and precision. Crafted by winemaker Jeff Stewart, this is a richly expressive, small-production wine that balances power with freshness, and it carries the added appeal of being made in an extremely limited quantity of just 327 cases.

Makuprofiili
Pale to medium gold in the glass, this Chardonnay opens with generous aromas of citrus oil, apricot, peach stone, orange blossom, and honeydew melon. On the palate, it unfolds in layers, beginning with preserved lemon, mandarin, and white pear before moving into notes of brioche, supported by vibrant acidity and a distinct mineral edge. The texture is polished and intense, with a sense of richness that never feels heavy thanks to the wine’s freshness and underlying structure. It is drinking beautifully now and has the concentration to develop gracefully over at least the next five years.

Viininvalmistus
The Fog Dance Vineyard in Russian River Valley AVA benefits from the cool, fog-influenced conditions that make this part of California so well suited to Chardonnay. The grapes were farmed organically and harvested with care to preserve purity and balance. The wine was then aged for 17 months in French oak barrels, 39% of which were new, and bottled without fining or filtration to retain maximum texture and character.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Chardonnay pairs well with roast chicken, lobster, scallops, creamy pasta, or richly prepared seafood dishes, as well as soft cheeses and mushroom-based plates. Serve slightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant if you’d like the wine’s aromatic complexity to open up more quickly.
