Heitz Wine Cellars Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 is one of Napa Valley’s true benchmark wines, drawn from an iconic Oakville site that helped define California Cabernet on the world stage. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet color that hints at both concentration and maturity. The nose is layered and expressive, offering red and dark cherries, blackcurrant, cloves, and the classic Martha’s Vineyard accents of mint, pine, and eucalyptus. The palate is dense and focused, yet remarkably balanced, with silky tannins and a rounded texture that give the wine real depth without heaviness. The finish is long, juicy, and refined, with lingering herbal freshness. This is a Cabernet that has already developed beautifully, but it also has the structure and pedigree to continue aging gracefully for many years.

Viininvalmistus
Martha’s Vineyard sits in Oakville AVA, protected by the Mayacamas Mountains and planted on gravelly soils that are exceptionally well suited to Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit benefits from a prime Napa terroir where warmth, drainage, and careful site selection combine to produce wines of intensity, lift, and unmistakable character. For this vintage, fermentation was followed by extended élevage: one year in neutral oak, then three years in 100% new French oak, and finally a year resting in bottle before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for grilled ribeye, roast lamb, venison, braised short ribs, or dishes with earthy mushrooms and rich sauces. Serve it at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromas and structure, and decant it for at least 1–2 hours if opening now, especially if you want to soften the tannins and let the wine fully unfold in the glass.
