Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a vivid, youthful ruby color with the brightness expected of high-quality Pinot Noir. The nose is layered and precise, unfolding with mulberry, raspberry, and briary notes, supported by a refined spiciness and subtle oak complexity. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins, energetic acidity, and a compact, tightly wound core. There is an initial firmness that suggests structure and seriousness, but the wine’s tension and spice promise excellent development over time. It should gain more harmony and flesh with bottle age, rewarding patience over the next several years.

The Trilogie bottling comes from the oldest vines in three parcels owned by Hubert Lignier in Morey-Saint-Denis, a village known for its powerful yet elegant expressions of Pinot Noir. The grapes were harvested at a low yield of just 27 hectoliters per hectare, helping to concentrate flavor and structure. Vinification follows a traditional Burgundy approach, with maturation in 20-25% new oak to support the wine without overpowering its purity and sense of place.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with roast duck, game birds, veal, mushroom dishes, and refined preparations of lamb or pork. It also works well with truffle-based dishes and aged soft cheeses. Serve at around 16-18°C, and consider decanting for 30-60 minutes if drinking young to help the wine open and soften its tannins.

Hubert Lignier is a five-generation family domaine rooted in Morey-Saint-Denis, with origins dating back to 1880 when Jacques Lignier purchased vines in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Today, the estate is run by Hubert Lignier and his son Laurent, who oversee around nine hectares and produce a wide range of wines across Bourgogne, village, premier cru, and grand cru appellations. Known for depth, structure, and concentration, the domaine has earned a strong reputation for traditional Burgundian wines with excellent aging potential, while farming without pesticides or herbicides to preserve vineyard health and fruit quality.
