In the glass, this wine is likely to show a deep ruby colour with youthful vibrancy. The nose should open with dark berries, ripe cherry, and Mediterranean spice, alongside a subtle herbal edge and hints of blackcurrant from the Cabernet Sauvignon component. On the palate, expect a medium- to full-bodied red with a firm but approachable structure, fresh acidity, and smooth tannins. Gaglioppo brings earthy, savoury depth and a touch of rustic charm, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds polish, dark fruit, and softness. This is a wine that can be enjoyed now for its fruit and balance, though it should also develop nicely over the next few years.

The grapes are likely harvested separately at optimal ripeness to preserve both freshness and varietal expression, before vinification that aims to combine the strength of Gaglioppo with the rounder texture of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This red works well with roasted lamb, grilled meats, tomato-based pasta dishes, aged cheeses, and Mediterranean fare such as aubergine, olives, and herbs. Serve at around 16-18°C for the best balance of fruit and structure. Decanting for 20-30 minutes may help soften the tannins and bring out the wine’s aromatic depth.
