In the glass, this wine typically shows a luminous ruby color with moderate depth. The nose leans toward red and dark berries, violet, subtle earth, spice, and a hint of forest floor, with the kind of restrained complexity that unfolds gradually in the glass. On the palate, expect a poised balance of ripe cherry and blackberry fruit, fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and a savoury, mineral edge that gives the wine its classic Gevrey-Chambertin character. The finish is likely to be long and composed, with notes of spice, earth, and gentle oak framing the fruit. This is a wine with good ageing potential, and the 2021 vintage should reward patience as its aromatic layers and structural tension continue to integrate over time.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine is an excellent match for roasted duck, game birds, beef tenderloin, lamb, mushroom dishes, and classic Burgundy-style braises. It also pairs beautifully with earthy vegetarian plates such as lentil stew or wild mushroom risotto. Serve at around 16–18°C, and if opened young, decant for 30–60 minutes to help the aromas open and the structure soften.
