Krug 2004 is a distinctive vintage Champagne that captures the personality of an exceptional year, enhanced by more than a decade of aging in Krug’s cellars. Crafted from the classic Champagne trio of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, it offers the precision, depth, and individuality that define Krug’s most celebrated vintages. As with every Krug Vintage, this is a one-of-a-kind expression of the harvest, built for both immediate pleasure and long aging.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, Krug 2004 shows a beautiful light golden color that signals remarkable freshness. The nose opens with expressive aromas of ginger, candied citrus, and quince, followed by richer layers of lemon tart, plum, and mirabelle. The palate is beautifully balanced and refined, with subtle notes of brioche and honey leading into a bright spectrum of citrus fruits, including orange, lemon, and mandarin. The finish is elegant and lingering, with the structure and complexity to continue evolving gracefully over time.

Krug Vintage is made from the most expressive wines of a single harvest and then aged for over ten years in the cellars of Champagne Krug. The blend always draws on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, with the final proportions varying according to the character of the year. The result is a Champagne shaped by meticulous selection, extended cellar maturation, and the distinctive terroir of Champagne.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This Champagne pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, roast chicken, truffle risotto, or aged Comté and Parmesan. Serve chilled at around 8-10°C to best express its freshness and complexity. Decanting is not usually necessary, but a little time in the glass can help reveal its layered aromas.
