Makuprofiili
In the glass, the wine shows a deep golden hue with a persistent, delicate mousse that reflects its long maturation in Krug’s cellars. The palate is rich and silky, yet still driven by a striking freshness that keeps the wine poised and lifted. Notes of caramel, tobacco, spice, and mature fruit unfold in a long, complex finish. This is a Champagne with excellent aging potential, and while it is ready to enjoy now, it can continue to develop further nuance over time.

The grapes for this vintage come from Champagne, where the cool 1988 growing season helped preserve acidity and intensify aromatic precision. Decanting is generally not recommended, as the wine’s subtle mousse and delicate maturity are best preserved in the bottle.
