Krug Grande Cuvée 172ème Édition in the 37.5cl format is a benchmark non-vintage Champagne, created to express the House of Krug’s vision of exceptional quality regardless of the challenges of any single harvest. Blending more than 120 wines from 10 or more different vintages, including reserve wines over 15 years old, it offers remarkable depth, consistency, and complexity. This release continues Krug’s long-standing tradition of crafting Champagne with precision, patience, and unmistakable character.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a brilliant golden hue with a fine, persistent mousse that reflects its extended maturation. The nose is expressive and layered, opening with white flowers, fresh and dried fruit, and evolving into notes of almond, marzipan, and toasted brioche. The palate is rich and generous, yet beautifully lifted by freshness and an elegant mineral backbone. Its texture is silky and full, with remarkable balance between depth, vibrancy, and finesse. The finish is long, harmonious, and subtly complex, making it a Champagne that can be enjoyed now with great pleasure, while also offering the structure to age gracefully for several years.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Krug Grande Cuvée pairs wonderfully with refined dishes such as lobster, scallops, truffle risotto, roast chicken, aged Parmesan, or sushi and sashimi. Its richness also makes it a strong match for salty snacks and delicate cured meats. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C, and decanting is generally not necessary, though a few minutes in the glass can help it open up beautifully.
