Makuprofiili
In the glass, it shows a deep blue-purple core with only a touch of garnet at the rim, reflecting both its concentration and its age. The bouquet is intensely expressive, unfolding with licorice, crème de cassis, blueberry liqueur, smoky grilled meats, truffle, and graphite.
The palate is full-bodied and luxurious, with sweet, velvety tannins, lively freshness, and remarkable complexity. Despite its power, it remains beautifully integrated and refined, with a long, multidimensional finish. This is a wine with exceptional aging potential and is expected to continue drinking beautifully for decades.
Viininvalmistus
Château La Mission Haut-Brion is located in the Graves area of Bordeaux, on gravelly terroir that favors depth, elegance, and aromatic precision in the wines. The estate’s red wine vineyards span Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, with the fruit harvested by hand in the cool night hours before dawn to preserve freshness and minimize oxidation. Careful sorting takes place in both vineyard and cellar, followed by meticulous vinification designed to preserve the wine’s concentration, complexity, and signature finesse.
Ruoka & tarjoilu
This wine pairs beautifully with premium dishes such as roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, game, truffle-infused dishes, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression of its aromas and structure. Decanting is recommended, especially for younger bottles or if opened after a long period of cellaring, to allow the wine to fully раскрыve its layers and soften with air.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion has origins dating back to the 1500s and entered its modern era in 1919 under the Woltners family. In 1983, it was acquired by Clarence Dillon, owner of neighboring Château Haut-Brion, who later carried out major vineyard replanting and built a new cellar completed in 1987. The estate was further renovated in 2007 and later recognized by Liv-Ex as a Premier Cru in its reclassification of Bordeaux’s finest wines, confirming its place among the region’s most prestigious properties.
