L’Aventure Cuvee Estate 2019

L’Aventure Cuvee Estate 2019 is a bold, polished red from Paso Robles that showcases the estate’s signature approach to powerful yet refined wines. Crafted from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, it combines depth, structure, and perfume in a style that has helped put this Californian estate on the map for Rhône-inspired red blends.

In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-violet color that hints at its concentration. The nose is layered and expressive, with blackcurrant, blackberry, cassis, licorice, violet, dark chocolate, subtle smoke, spice, tobacco, and well-integrated oak. The palate is rich and concentrated, yet balanced by lively acidity that keeps the wine fresh and focused. The tannins are firm but nicely woven into the fruit, giving the wine both power and finesse. The finish is long and persistent, with dark fruit, mineral notes, and a spicy edge. While it has the structure to age beautifully, it can also be enjoyed now with a little decanting.

L’Aventure Estate Cuvée comes from Paso Robles, where warm California sunshine and the region’s varied soils help produce ripe, intensely flavored fruit with real structure. The estate blend is made from Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot, harvested for optimal concentration and balance, then aged for around 15 months in mostly new French oak with the remainder in one-year-old barrels to add complexity, texture, and spice.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an excellent match for grilled beef, venison, braised short ribs, hearty stews, and mature hard cheeses. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 1 hour if opening it young, so the aromatics and tannins can fully open up.
