Liger-Belair Vosne-Romanée Clos du Chateau 2009 is a beautifully poised Burgundy that captures the elegance and intimacy for which Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair is so admired. Made from Pinot Noir in one of Vosne-Romanée’s most refined sites, it combines floral lift, spice, and dark cherry depth with a delicately sensual style that feels unmistakably Burgundian. The 2009 vintage added extra ripeness and charm, while still preserving the wine’s classic finesse and precision.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this wine shows a graceful, translucent ruby hue that hints at its light-footed but concentrated character. The nose is immediately expressive, with freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet dark cherries, and gentle spice rising from the glass in a layered, nuanced perfume. On the palate, it is ethereal and refined, with a delicate texture, bright red and dark berry fruit, and a savoury, spice-inflected finish. There is a sensual, almost fragile quality to the wine, but also enough depth and structure to suggest excellent evolution in bottle. While already captivating, this is a vintage that can continue to gain complexity over time, rewarding patient cellaring.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is an ideal match for elegant dishes such as roast duck, game birds, veal, mushroom risotto, or fine poultry with a light red wine sauce. It also works beautifully with earthy vegetarian dishes and soft, washed-rind cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting gently for 30–60 minutes if opening relatively young, though older bottles should be handled carefully and may only need a brief aeration.
