Louis Roederer Cristal 2000 Magnum is the house’s flagship Champagne and a benchmark for prestige cuvée excellence. Made only in exceptional vintages from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir at peak ripeness, it combines precision, finesse, and remarkable depth in a format that promises added maturity and grandeur over time. First created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal remains one of Champagne’s most iconic and sought-after wines.

Cristal 2000 shows a bright, luminous golden color with the refined energy expected from a great vintage Champagne. The nose is expressive yet poised, offering white fruit, citrus, and floral notes layered with subtle toast, chalky minerality, and a gentle hint of spice. On the palate, it is silky and beautifully balanced, with concentrated fruit, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. The texture is elegant and seamless, with the magnum format supporting slow evolution and excellent aging potential for many more years.

Viininvalmistus
Cristal is produced only in the finest vintages from carefully selected vineyard parcels in Champagne, where chalky soils and a cool climate help preserve freshness and precision. The blend is typically based on around 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, harvested by hand at optimal ripeness to ensure balance and purity. After traditional vinification, the wine is aged for 6 years in Louis Roederer’s cellars and left for an additional 8 months after disgorgement before release.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
Serve Cristal at 8–10°C to best appreciate its precision and aromatic complexity. It is an exceptional partner for refined dishes such as oysters, caviar, lobster, scallops, or elegant poultry and truffle-based preparations. Decanting is generally not necessary, though allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass can help it open up gradually.
