Lucien le Moine Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2010 is a finely crafted Burgundy Pinot Noir from one of the appellation’s most respected Grand Cru sites. Known for its precision, depth, and remarkable length, this wine shows the house’s signature blend of concentration and elegance, while the 2010 vintage brings impressive freshness and balance. Clos de la Roche has long been celebrated for producing structured, age-worthy wines, and this bottling captures that pedigree beautifully.

Makuprofiili
In the glass, this Clos de la Roche shows a refined ruby color with a bright, transparent edge typical of great Pinot Noir. The nose is layered and expressive, offering sweet red cherries, dried roses, exotic spices, smoke, and licorice, with subtle earthy nuances unfolding with air. On the palate, the wine is focused and linear, combining vivid red fruit with spice, mineral tension, and a graceful, weightless finish. The structure is firm but polished, giving the wine excellent definition and poise. This is a Grand Cru with outstanding aging potential, and Robert Parker suggested a drinking window stretching from 2020 to 2035.

Viininvalmistus
Clos de la Roche is one of the great Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, prized for its limestone-rich soils and the powerful yet refined style it can produce. Lucien le Moine sources only top-quality fruit from selected growers, and the grapes are handled with great care to preserve purity and terroir expression. The wine is aged on its lees in new classic Burgundy oak barrels, undergoes late malolactic fermentation, and is bottled by hand directly from barrel without filtration.

Ruoka & tarjoilu
This is a wine that shines with refined dishes such as roast duck, game bird, veal, wild mushroom risotto, or truffled poultry. It also pairs beautifully with lamb and aged cheeses, especially when served at around 16–18°C. Decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended to allow the wine to fully open and reveal its aromatic complexity.
