From a northern parcel in Gevrey-Chambertin, it combines structure, mineral precision, and a notably elegant style that reflects both the limestone-clay soils and the domaine’s restrained winemaking approach.

In the glass, the wine shows a bright, transparent ruby color that hints at its finesse rather than sheer power. The nose is cool and layered, with red cherry, wild strawberry, violet, woodland notes, subtle spice, and a discreet touch of oak. The palate is linear and focused, with silken tannins, lively acidity, and a fine balance between red-fruited freshness and the deeper, more savory character associated with Gevrey-Chambertin. It is already approachable in youth for its charm and clarity, yet it has the structure to develop gracefully over the next 8–12 years.

Viininvalmistus
La Justice comes from the northern part of Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, where calcareous clay soils mixed with small stones help shape wines of energy, tension, and mineral definition. Domaine Marey works with respect for the natural expression of the site and uses a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar, allowing the Pinot Noir to speak clearly of its origin.

This wine pairs beautifully with roasted duck, quail, game birds, mushroom-based dishes, and refined cuts of beef or veal. Serve it at around 15–17°C, and consider a gentle decant for 30–60 minutes if drinking young to help the aromatics open.
